On the Critical Value for 'Percolation' of Minimum-Weight Trees in the Mean-Field Distance Model
نویسنده
چکیده
Consider the complete n-graph with independent exponential (mean n) edge-weights. Let M (c; n) be the maximal size of subtree for which the average edge-weight is at most c. It is shown that M (c; n) transitions from o(n) to (n) around some critical value c(0), which can be speciied in terms of a xed point of a mapping on probability distributions .

Percolation-like Scaling Exponents for Minimal Paths and Trees in the Stochastic Mean Field Model
In the mean field (or random link) model there are n points and inter-point distances are independent random variables. For 0 < l < ∞ and in the n → ∞ limit, let δ(l) = 1/n× (maximum number of steps in a path whose average step-length is ≤ l). The function δ(l) is analogous to the percolation function in percolation theory: there is a critical value l∗ = e −1 at which δ(·) becomes non-zero, and...
متن کاملTHE SCALING LAW FOR THE DISCRETE KINETIC GROWTH PERCOLATION MODEL
The Scaling Law for the Discrete Kinetic Growth Percolation Model The critical exponent of the total number of finite clusters α is calculated directly without using scaling hypothesis both below and above the percolation threshold pc based on a kinetic growth percolation model in two and three dimensions. Simultaneously, we can calculate other critical exponents β and γ, and show that the scal...
متن کاملTrees, Animals, and Percolation on Hyperbolic Lattices
We study lattice trees, lattice animals, and percolation on non-Euclidean lattices that correspond to regular tessellations of twoand three-dimensional hyperbolic space. We prove that critical exponents of these models take on their mean field values. Our methods are mainly combinatorial and geometric.

Introduction: Due to the importance of engineering controls for prevention of microwave exposure, this study was conducted to design and constract a novel electromagnetic shielding and also to examine the factors influencing shielding efficacy in X band frequency range. Material and Method: This study used Resin Epoxy as matrix and nano-Nickel Oxide as filler to prepare the composite plates ...
متن کاملTheory of minimum spanning trees. I. Mean-field theory and strongly disordered spin-glass model.
The minimum spanning tree (MST) is a combinatorial optimization problem: given a connected graph with a real weight ("cost") on each edge, find the spanning tree that minimizes the sum of the total cost of the occupied edges. We consider the random MST, in which the edge costs are (quenched) independent random variables. There is a strongly disordered spin-glass model due to Newman and Stein [P...
